About
the Chase Association
The Chase Association exists to advance the education, the development
and the experiences of the pupils of the school by providing and assisting
in the provision of facilities for education at the school. These are
usually those not normally provided by the Local Education Authority
(LEA). According to its constitution, to help with these aims the Association
may:
- foster
more extended relationships between staff, parents and others associated
with the school;
- engage
in activities which support the school and advance the education of
the pupils attending it.
These
aims are primarily met through the raising of funds from activities
such as organising events or arranging for regular donations. The Association
manages the funds raised and with close consultation with the school
is able to allocate them to, for instance the purchase of specialist
equipment or materials not normally provided by the LEA.
The
Association is managed by a committee of members of the Association,
which has to include:
- the
Head of the School;
- the
Officers of the Association;
- not
less than 2 nor more than 6 members of staff who shall be elected
annually by the staff;
-
2 members of the Sixth Form, who shall be elected annually by members
of the Sixth Form.
